Alexander Millar - Bailey Arts
Alexander Miller - Born 1960 in Springside, a small mining community a few miles ouside Kilmarnock on the west coast of Scotland. After "escaping" school in 1976 Alexander left Springside and set himself up in Newcatle-upon-Tyne. Trying his hand at a number of different jobs Alexander finally settled in 1988 to become a professional artist. Using images from his childhood and spending many years developing his own style, the completly self taught Miller started to use the local Tyneside "Gadgies" as models in his paintings. After a number of sell out exhibitions one of Alexander's paintings was entered in to the Daily Mail's "Not the Turner Prize" where it was a chosen finalist and was exhibited in the Mall Galleries in London.
