Georgia Peskett - Bailey Arts

Georgia Peskett - Bailey Arts Born in London 1965 to artist parents, Georgia completed her formal art education at Epsom School of Art, after a brief introduction to art & design with the school Georgia travelled to New York to become an apprentice painter to her father, Stan Peskett, and also other New york artists during the late 1980's and is predominantly self taught. It was during that time in New York, where Georgia Peskett developed her love of urban cityscape that features heavily in her work, she loved how New York's older buildings captured the spirit of the place. It was also where her first large urban street scene was sold in 1987, the first of many in a career that has spanned for over 25 years. Photography is an important part of Georgia's work, she works from photographs and has a digital archive of thousands of images from places around the world that she constantly reviews. Her work is now in many collections worldwide, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, Australia, Switzerland and Germany, also her work is in the private collections of the Earl of Chichester, British Telecom and Leeds City Council. Most recently Georgia has been named as one of the winners of the ArtSlant competition.
